How Do You Manage Cases That Involve Both Civil and Criminal Proceedings, Like the Clara Harris Wrongful Death Case?

The way that I handle cases that involve both civil aspects and criminal aspects is I go to the police that were involved like in the Clara Harris case, I talked to the two homicide detectives that were involved in the investigation.

I also do a full investigation as though it is a criminal case. I get the forensic evidence.

I get accident reconstructionist so that I can go in and prove the case just as though I’m a prosecutor on a criminal case.

If you don’t approach it in that manner, you’re gonna lose the case because in cases like that juries expect the proof to be beyond a reasonable doubt, even if the if the legal standard doesn’t require it.
