We checked out their science activities and had fun playing with iron oxide and vinegar. It is located at 615 Mason Rd, Katy, TX 77450 not far from the Johnny Nelson museum.

What to expect at Funtastik Labs

Funtastik Labs was founded in 2009 as a hands-on experiential learning center. Their labs are designed to help students discover their passions through creativity and experimentation. They offer summer and year-round programs for ages 6 – 18. Kids can participate in workshops where they design games, apps, VR/AR experiences, create art, and experiment with science. They also have special programs like STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), maker space, summer camps, and more. Funtastik Labs also has an in-house game development program to help students learn how to make games. While they don’t have a STEAM program in the traditional sense, they do have activities in many categories like STEM, art, music, and coding. There are also many robotics activities to explore. Funtastik Labs also offers programs to teach students about entrepreneurship and how to start or work in a company.

 Iron oxide and vinegar slime

Iron oxide and vinegar are perfect for slime because they are both basic. They are both safe to ingest, but iron oxide is toxic, so we don’t want to put too much in the slime. To make slime, first add a tablespoon of vinegar to your container. Let the vinegar sit in the container for 5-10 minutes and then add iron oxide to the container. If you’re injured by these chemicals you can consult a small personal injury law office in Katy for help.
