Six Injured In Southwest Houston Hit-and-Run Car Accident

A Good Houston auto crash injury lawyer knows that accidents happen, but hit-and-run accidents when the perpetrator of the accident flees are particularly devastating because the victims are robbed of their ability to achieve justice.

Houston police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who sent six people to the hospital early Sunday after causing an accident. The perpetrator was driving a pickup truck, and according to witnesses, it was weaving in and out of traffic on the Southwest Freeway at about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. The pickup truck slammed into the back end of a car in front of it, and caused the car to veer over to the right shoulder of the road. The pickup truck carried on to hit another car, causing to spin around and smash into a wall.

The driver of the pickup truck did not stop—he just kept driving. There were three people in each of the vehicles that the pickup truck hit—and all sustained injures. They were transported to the nearby Ben Taub hospital, and were all expected to survive. The names of the victims have not yet been released and Houston police are still searching for the driver of the pickup truck.

Fleeing the scene of an accident is a serious crime, and Houston car accident attorneys, as well as the Houston police department would like to encourage anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have information to contact the police as soon as possible.
